Our two children have had a wonderful few days at Draycott Sports Camp at Oakhurst School this week. After an organised and friendly welcome, the kids were directed into different groups, separated by gender and age, and met their designated coaches. Parents said their goodbyes and left for the day (school hours or longer if necessary). As the mum of two shy kids who find new situations a little uneasy I am used to being greeted 6 hours later by relieved faced, glad to be going home. NOT THIS WEEK! Both kids couldn't wait to give me the run down of fun activities they'd enjoyed, the names of their coaches, the exciting equipment they'd used and that they would've happily stayed an extra few hours! What more could a parent want!?
